Paul was my step dad, he was 39 when he died from cancer. Paul was the bravest person I have ever known, never complained, never made a fuss. Paul always had time for his family no matter how unwell he was feeling. Paul had a very rare cancer called Ewings Sarcoma, he first had treatment back in 1994 and went into remission for 10 years. When the cancer came back it was in Pauls lung. Paul was doing so well on the chemotherepy and we all thought that Paul would beat the cancer again.....if anyone could Paul could. On 24th October 2004 Paul had a brain heammorage caused by a another tumour and we were told that Paul would not recover, we prepared for the worst. Against all odds Paul came home in the second week of November where he continued to improve every single day. We believed that Paul was indestructible and allowed ourselves to look to the future again. On the 30th November 2004 Paul collapsed at home, the ambulance didn't get there for 45 minutes and by this time it was too late for Paul. Paul was the sort of man who made a difference to all of our lives, he never judged, just accepted us for who we are. Paul had 5 grandchildren who he loved unconditionally and they him. People say that blood is thicker than water but Paul proved that wrong. We loved him very much and will always miss him.
Life will never be the same now that Paul isn't here.

Hi Sweetheart
Nearly six long years since you went away and I miss you so so much,this hurt will never go away,at times it feels even worse.
I know you know how things have been going here but i'm going to tell you anyway.Charlie had an accident in his car and you must have been looking out for him because thankfully he was not hurt,Jessica has passed her diving test and working very hard a college,Connor comes to Brands Hatch with me to watch Graeme race (he has his own fan club there),Charlotte is doing very well at school and really grown up and Georgia as usual doing very well at school and even she is catching me up fast,I'll soon be shortest in the family.Mum has just had a hip replacement,been very painful.
I hope you are behaving yourself up there and still looking after everyone.
